Solve the system of equations by the Substitution Method, Elimination Method, Cramer's rule, and Graph it

......
-2x+4y=-14
-2x-6y=-14

For the graph, please tell me how to do it on a TI-84 plus Calculator. Thanks!

Elimination:

Subtract equation 2 from equation 1 to get
10y = 0
y = 0

So x = 7

Substitution:

-2x = -14 - 4y
x = 7 + 2y

Sub into second equation
-2(7 + 2y) - 6y = -14
-14 - 10y = -14
-10y = 0
y = 0

x = 7 by plugging y=0 into any equation.

Cramer's:

[-2 4][y] = [-14]
[-2 -6][x] = [-14]

To solve for x replace the left column with the right column (since replace the x column with the =column).

-14 4
-14 -6
______
-2 4
-2 -6

(84+56) / (12+8)
x = 7

To solve for y either replace the y column or plug in x=7 for an equation.
