Question about designing a cardboard box (what size squares should be cut out from the sides?) 10 points!!!

x = 8.The only plausible solution is x = 4.......
This is a Precalc math question please help me! I can never understand how to do these freaking ones and I really really need to, so if you could tell me how you solved it I would appreciate it a lot!!!! Thanks :)

Picaro's Packaging Plant wishes to design boxes with a volume of not more than 100 in^3. Squares are to be cut from the corners of a 12-in. by 15-in. piece of cardboard, with the flaps folded up to make an open box. What size squares should be cut from the cardboard?

-
consider x = side of the squares to be cut

V = (L-2x)*(W - 2x)*x
where L = 15 and W = 12

V = x(15-2x)(12-2x) that has to be ≤ 100

solve the attached equation:

x(180 - 54x + 4x²) = 100

4x³ - 54x² +180x - 100 = 0

x = 0.69
x = 4.2
x = 8.6

The only plausible solution is x = 4.2 in
