This was a question I had on my Cal test and I got it wrong. The answer i put was 0. Would it be limit does not exist? Or is it another answer?
-
The limit does not exist. As the x approaches 0 from the left, all the x-values would be negative, and the square root of a negative is an imaginary number. Therefore, the limit from the left does not exist.

if you're approaching 0 from the left, then that infinitely close value to 0 is negative; hence what you're essentially doing is square rooting a negative value, which is obviously non-nonsensical for real values.
i.e. the limit does NOT exist
