The second tringle is 40 degrees larger than the first, while the third angle of the triangle is 2 times the second. How big is the first angle? (I can solve this but i dont know how to put this into an equation form.....zzzz)

-
Let x = the measure of the first angle

That makes (x + 40) the second and 2(x + 40) the third.

When you add them together, you'll get 180 degrees.

x + x + 40 + 2x + 80 = 180
4x = 60

x = 15

First angle: A
Second angle: B40+A..........................(Second angle is 40 degrees larger than the first angle)
Third angle: C=2B=2(40+A)=80+2A
Thus the C=80+A .......................(Second angle is 2 times the second angle)
A+B+C=180.............................… sum of all the angles of the Triangle is 180)

A+40+A+80+2A=180......................… the values of B and C)
4A+120=180
4A=60
A=15
B=40+15=55
C=2B=110

Do you have the perimeter of the triangle?

Also just make a table-

The 1st Angle- x
The 2nd Angle- 40+x
The 3rd Angle- 2(40+x)

If you have the perimeter of the triangle then that would be what all the angles added together equal.
