..[Divide both sides by 3/5 to isolate variable...Youre very welcome.......
if 1/2 is 3/4 of 4/5 of n, n = ?

Thank you.

-
3/4 x 4/5 x n = 1/2
[Combine like terms...]
3/5 x n = 1/2
[Divide both sides by 3/5 to isolate variable...]
1/2 ÷ 3/5 = 1/2 x 5/3 = 5/6

n = 5/6

You're very welcome. :)

(DEREK's method is alright as well, of course. Different methods of solving, same answer.)

-
3/4 * 4/5 * n = 1/2

cancel the 4s

3/5 * n = 1/2

multiply both sides by 5
3n = 5/2

divide both sides by 3

n = 5/6

-
1/2 = (3/4)(4/5)n = (3/5)n

n = 5/6

-
3/5
