Ok, so what is 3 times x divided by 7 has a remainder of 6? What is x? Please help!

sooo (3x-6)/7 has a remainder 0
well I did guess and check and I got x=9 as my answer because 3x would have to 27 if you think about it.
I'm trying to think of how to actually do it and I'll let you know as soon as I get it. But i know x=9 as of now.
