Ok i was given
f(x)= 2x^2 - 8x + 3
I had to use completing the square to get it into vertex form AKA 2(x-2)^2 - 1
So the vertex is (2, -5) -5 from plugging back in etc etc
How would I find the x and y intercept without the use of a graphing calculator

To find the x-intercept, plug in 0 for y and solve, and for the y-intercept, plug in 0 for x and solve.
