What is the linear velocity (in miles per hour) of a tip of a lawnmower blade spinning at 2800 rev/min for a lawnmower that cuts a 20 in wide path?
I know the answer is 166.6 mph, but could you please show me the steps? Thanks.

The linear velocity v = omega * R, where omega is the angular velocity, and R is the blade radius.
omega = 2800 rev/min = 2800* 2 pi *60 rad/hr
R = 10 in = 10/(12*5280) mi
Therefore
v = 2800* 2 pi *60 rad/hr * 10/(12*5280) mi = 166.5996 mph
omega = 2800 rev/min = 2800* 2 pi *60 rad/hr
R = 10 in = 10/(12*5280) mi
Therefore
v = 2800* 2 pi *60 rad/hr * 10/(12*5280) mi = 166.5996 mph

You have to know the radius of the blade from the center. How big of a circle does
the tip make?
the tip make?
