If one side is a to the second b to the third and c and the area is 2a to the third b to the third and c to the third then what would the perimeter and missing side be?Thanks so much. And Id appreciated whatever explanation ya could give because I dont get any bit of it.How many times does 3a go into 6a^2? 2a works, with no remainder; bring down the -3a.......
So if I have a rectangle and one side is 3a and the area is 6a to the second minus 3a thin what would the missing side and perimeter be?

Same thing on this one. If one side is a to the second b to the third and c and the area is 2a to the third b to the third and c to the third then what would the perimeter and missing side be?
Thanks so much. And Id appreciated whatever explanation ya could give because I dont get any bit of it.

(6a^2 - 3a)/3a

How many times does 3a go into 6a^2? 2a works, with no remainder; bring down the -3a. How many times does 3a go into that? -1 works, so the missing side would be 2a-1. The perimeter is 2(3a) + 2(2a-1), or 6a + 4a - 2, or 10a - 2.

(2a^3 * b^3 * c^3)/(a^2 * b^3) = 2ac^3, so that's the length of the missing side. Multiply the side lengths by 2 and add them to get the perimeter.

They're exponents; 2a cubed times b cubed times c cubed, all divided by a squared times b cubed = 2 times a times c cubed.

Okay so what you do with Q1 is you divide 3a into 6a^2-3a. Once you are finished you should get the missing side...2a-1. Then the perimeter is 2(3a)+2(2a-1)=6a+4a-2= the perimeter:8a-2

On Q2 things get a little complicated, and it's beyond my understanding.

Area = side a x side b Perimeter = 2(side a + side b)

1. 6a^2 - 3a = 3a x b
(6a^2 - 3a)/3a = b
2a - 1 = b missing side
Perimeter = 2(3a + 2a - 1)
Perimeter = 2(5a - 1)
Perimeter = 10a - 2

2. side a = a^2b^3c Area = 2a^3b^3c^3
Area = a^2b^3c x side b
2a^3b^3c^3 = a^2b^3c x side b

(2a^3b^3c^3)/(a^2b^3c) = side b
2a^2c^2 = side b missing side

Perimeter = 2(side a + side b)
Perimeter = 2(a^2b^3c + 2a^2c^2)
Simply Perimeter - 2a^2c(2b^3 +c)
