I tend to get really confused when im doing a problem in Algebra/Geometry and I have to subtract, add, multiplying and dividing negative and positive numbers.
Im pretty decent at math but this always throws me off.
Is there an easy way to remember how this works?
Such as positive and negative, positive and positive and so on

I don't think there is an easy way to remember this, you just have to memorize it.
positive+positive=positive
positive+negative= depends on which number is greater
positive-positive=positive (unless your subtracting a bigger number from a smaller number)
positive-negative=positive
negative-positive=negative
positive•positive= positive
positive•negative=negative
negative•negative=positive
Hope I helped!!!!

There are 2 cases
Case 1: signs are the same
In this case 3+4 or -4 - 5, the signs on both numbers are the same, either both positive or both negative. In this case, add the numbers and keep the sign. For 3+4, you get +7 and for -4 - 5 = 4+5 = 9 and since both were negative, you keep the negative sign so it becomes -9,
Case 2: signs are different
In this case you might get 5-3 or 5-9. What you do is to ignore the signs, Just subtract the bigger magnitude from the smaller, so in 5-3, 5 is the bigger magnitude and you do it as it is written, For 5-9, 9 is the bigger magnitude, so do it as 9-5. For 5-3 you get 2 and 9-5 you get 4. Now consider which magnitude is larger, the first 5 is larger and the second 9 is larger. Attribute the sign of the larger magnitude to the answer and you're done. So 5-3 is 2 and since 5 is positive and the larger magnitude, the 2 is also positive. For the second case, 5-9, 9-5 is 4, since 9 is the bigger magnitude and it is negative, then answer is -4.
I hope this helps!

-3+-4 ok i owe you 3 dollars hence the neg 3........and im adding another negative amount so therefore i will owe you 4 more dollars so in total i will owe you 7 dollars......i think that makes sense
