I have missed 5 days of school and I have a sh*t load of homework. I'm on my math now and am confused as to what they want. The instructions read: Solve each formula for the indicated variable.
1. A = 1/2bh, for h
2. s = 1/2gt^2, for g
3. V = lwh, for w
4. I = prt, for r
That is how it's exactly put and it's confusing. I need help on this ASAP. Please and thank you.

On the first set, did they give you any diagrams with values or anything? On the second set...
1. ax+bx=c factors to x(a+b)=c
divide both sides by (a+b) so you get x = c/(a+b)
2. x/a - 5 = b
x/a = b+5 (add 5 to both sides)
x = (b + 5)a (multiply both sides by a)
3. x - 2/2 = m + n Note that 2/2 = 1
x = m + n + 1 (Just add 2/2 or 1 to both sides)
4. 2/5 (x + 1) = g
2/5x + 2/5 = g (multiply through on the left side)
2/5x = g - 2/5 (subtract 2/5 from both sides)
x = (g - 2/5)/2/5 (divide both sides by 2/5)
