I need help with this Grade 10 math question.
"A new children's encyclopedia has 950 pages. Each page contains two background colours for illustrations. Page 8 and every 8th page thereafter has green as one of the background colours. Page 18 and every 18th page thereafter has orange as one of the background colours. How many pages in the book have BOTH green and orange as background colours.
I know the answer, (it's 13 pages) but I have no idea how to get there.

-
step 1: The LCM of 8 and 18 is 72, means every 72 pages the Orange and Green backgound will show together.
step 2: There are 950 pages, divided by 72 pages = 13.19 times.
The Orange/Green combo will happen 13 times (ie. the first combo happened on page 72, then 144, and on every 72 pages, the last combo happened on page 936).
