How do i factor x^2 -7x + 12

now, the 7 in the equation is negative and the 12 (product of the two factors) is positive.therefore, both the factors must be negative.......

factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
which two factors when u add do u get 7 and their product 12? its 3 and 4.
now, the 7 in the equation is negative and the 12 (product of the two factors) is positive.
therefore, both the factors must be negative. (negative x negative= positive) and (negative+negative=negative)
so u get (x-4)(x-3)
