How do you handle 43 degrees centigrade summers in Phoenix?

Stay indoors, in the shade, or in the pool; keep the A/C on all the time; drink water frequently, always carry water in the car, and an insulated bag with you when you go shopping. Everyone wears shorts, sandals, and tank tops as much as possible. Very little formal dressing. And a hat/visor, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Outdoor work is done very early, and done by noon. (Don't buy a black car or a car with black seats unless you garage it all day.) Learn to like xeriscaping and not having a lawn, or wasting water.
It's more bearable because it's dry heat. When it's above 115F/46C you can feel the moisture just being pulled from your body, and as you breathe. It gets really hard above 109F/43C.
We actually have a chiller for the pool to cool it in the summer. Otherwise it can get to 90/32 and above in the water.
It's only been in the last 50 years that people have been able to live easily in the entire area, due to the availability of A/C.

Go to the Mall.
Go swimming.
