How to solve this trigonometric problem?

Tan x = -7/24 therefore x = arc-tan(-7/24) = -16.26˚ or 343.74˚.So x/2 = 171.87˚ and tan(x/2) = -0.14286 giving cot(x/2) = 1/tan(x/2) = -7.......
Given tan x = - 7/24 and 270 Find cot x/2??
I need help
Please explain your solution

Tangent is negative in the 2nd and 4th quadrants so the given restriction on x tells us we're to take the 4th quadrant angle
Tan x = -7/24 therefore x = arc-tan(-7/24) = -16.26˚ or 343.74˚.
So x/2 = 171.87˚ and tan(x/2) = -0.14286 giving cot(x/2) = 1/tan(x/2) = -7.000
