They're held up by wires, or wheels underneath are removed during editing. Another way to do it is to create the spaceship entirely in CGI software and film actors on a greenscreen.

They use a type of propelssion called vortexing I forget the other term or name for it but basically its anti gravity the ships create "vortexes" that pulls it forward and up ward. Something along the lines of that.
P.s we could do it our selfs if we had proper fundings. Although I think its in the process of making. (E: during WWII Hitlers scientists were working on it came close to having actual disc shaped saucers).
