its simply where the optic nerve connects so no sensors are there.The result of being in the evolutionary cycle, no use of it, our future generations might not have it.The nerve fibers leading from the rods and cones run across the front of the retina in vertebrates. Where they meet to pass through the retina an area having no receptors results.......
I know it is the region where the optic nerves connect, but what is the use of it?
