The ODU calculus sequence 211-212-312 is accepted as the equivalent of VTs starting calculus sequence.George Mason is a little better than ODU, but if you want to go to VT anyway, start at ODU where you may have a chance to shine.......
I have been admitted to Old Dominion's and George Mason's engineering schools but only got into Virginia Techs universal studies, should I go to VT and try to switch in to engineering or go to GMU or ODU and be straight into an engineering major, or should I go to ODU and GMU and try to transfer to VT after a year or two?

Go to ODU and strive to excel in your freshman calculus, chem and physics classes. VT is a higher-ranked school, and you can try to transfer if you wish. The ODU calculus sequence 211-212-312 is accepted as the equivalent of VT's starting calculus sequence.

George Mason is a little "better" than ODU, but if you want to go to VT anyway, start at ODU where you may have a chance to shine.
