I took a electronics class in high school. I did okay but I struggled a little bit. I have no idea what you would do Ina mechanical engineering class.

It's hard to tell. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student myself and I have some friends who are majoring in Electrical Engineering. I think it just depends on what you're interested in. I chose Mechanical because I have worked on cars and machines before. I know a lot of Electrical Engineering students who enjoy working with electronics and computers.
In most mechanical engineering classes we usually just design parts and try to assemble them together.

I think which is more difficult depends on the interest of the student. In both courses of study, students take mostly the same sciences and math. Mechanical and electrical engineering students take electrical fundamentals, thermodynamics, statics, dynamics, and strength of materials. As an electrical engineering student I was required to take both a classical physics sequence and modern physics. Modern physics was one of the more challenging courses I took and was not required of students in the other engineering disciplines.
Mechanical engineering courses include advanced thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, machinery controls, machinery dynamics and design, materials science, heat and mass transfer, etc.
