This photo was taken in the back yard of a house in Frisco Texas (two photos on page). Behind the house is a golf course and wildlife area with bobcats, coyotes, raccoons, and a few of these. They are rarely seen. The largest one sighted is about the size of an adult golden retriever. They appear sickly and emaciated. No one around here knows what they are.

Definitely a mange ridden dog, if not coyote. We occasionally get these here in AZ. Mange is caused by a parasitic mite that leads to hair loss and skin lesions among other things.

Thanks! What didn't look so much like coyote to me were the eyes. It does look like it could be a young pup, which means their ears will be bigger in relation to their head, and therefore appear much larger, but the eyes in your image don't look quite as round and big as a coyote. So probably a dog.

I have watched discovery channel many times, and the animal in this picture looks like a hairless dog which are known for being in Texas. It's either that or a mangy deer!

I'm not sure but whatever he is it looks like the poor dear is sick or has mange. They could just be stray dogs with mange
