Multiplier voltage loss

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-04-16] [Hit: ]
Obviously, 26 nF is way too small to do anything useful.......
What would happen if the voltage loss on a voltage multiplier was greater than the output voltage?

How many stages could be built for a PRACTICAL multiplier with 60Hz input, 26nF capacitors and a 7.6mA current draw which slowly approaches zero?

For one 26 nF cap, when it is being discharged dV/dt=I/C=7.6E-3/26E-9=2.92E5 volts/sec=292 volts/msec. Obviously, 26 nF is way too small to do anything useful.
