i saw a video on youtube so i am trying to make the thing! no perfectly! so i am beggining with screws tight to thin yellow and green electric wire! the wires are very thin! like those on the back of speakers ! and when i put the screws and wire in water and power it with a 9 volt battery it does not work! very few bubles ! so i am thinking of putting the wires into my electrick socket! so i needed help if this was a good idea!

If you haven't tried it yet, NO! That's a really good way to kill yourself or at the very least blow your house electrics. It wouldn't work anyway, mains electricity is AC and you need DC for this.
Instead, try more batteries in series (you can clip 9V batteries together), better batteries (use alkaline instead of zinc-carbon), or add a tiny amount of salt to the water to increase its conductivity.

9V battery Vs Mains, I think you need a lot more understanding before you attempt to mess around with mains voltages.
People and companies with more experience than you have tried to get Hydrogen more efficiently and are still working on it.
By using electrolysis you will not get pure Hydrogen easily, in it's raw form you will get Browns Gas which is a mixture of Oxygen and Hydrogen and is rather explosive. Remember the Hindenburg, and that was only Hydrogen!!

Bad idea!!!!!!! Do not put anything especially free wires into your socket. If it isn't working try googling it and finding instructions on how to make a good (safe!!!!!!) version YouTube people tend to stretch the truth on things. Science web sites have instructions on stuff like this look it up on there just do not put the wires (in water ,near water) in or near a socket it may cause outage fire or death to you !!!!!!

It can be very dangerous, and you bound to touch that electrocuted water accidentlly. This is not a good idea at all.
