What would it be like if the buildings tipped over sideways as opposed to the fact that it collapsed vertically right there?
Could it have caused mass domino effects since it stood in a very dense area?

With the damage sustained, the towers should not have collapsed. The fact that they did, rules out any idea that they were designed to fall vertically as the design was clearly faulted. The twin towers design followed two criteria, how tall can we build it, how cheap can we build it. That is a perfectly good method provided that the crossing line of the two opposing criteria is set correctly.

The twin towers were designed specially so that they would fall vertically instead of sideways BECAUSE they were in a high density area

more people would've died and every other country would've been happier.
