How much does a gram of liquid hydrogen weigh? Is liquid hydrogen less dense than ethyl alcohol?

pisgahchemist say: Which weighs more, a pound of lead or a pound of feathers?
I don't think you really meant to ask your question that way. The density of liquid hydrogen at about 20K is 70.85 g/L, or 0.07085g / mL. It is much less dense than ethanol.
1 mL H2(l) has a mass of 0.07085 grams
or
1 gram H2(l) x (1 mL / 0.07085g) = 14.11 mL

say: The mass of a gram of liquid hydrogen is one gram!
On earth, using g = 9.8m/s^2, the weight is 0.001x9.8 = 0.0098N
The density of liquid hydrogen 70.8 kg/m³ (= 0.0708 g/cm³)
The density of ethyl alcohol = 789 kg/m³ (= 0.789g/cm³)
So liquid hydogen is about 11 times less dense than ethyl alcohol.

billrussell42 say: huh? 1 gram weighs 1 gram. Actually, it masses 1 gram. On the surface of the earth it weighs 9.8 mN.
liquid hydrogen has a density of 0.07 g/cm³
ethyl alcohol has a density of 0.79 g/cm³

How much does a GRAM of Liquid hydrogen weigh?
I'm gonna go with a gram mate!
Did you mean to ask what a millilitre weighs?
And liquid hydrogen is just over 10 times less dense than ethanol.
Liquid hydrogen has a density of 70.8kg/m3.
Ethyl ethanol has a density of 786kg/m3.
