as it would be.There is no Ammonium produced.......
How do I predict when Aqueous ammonia is added to a solid Iron (III) chloride? I predicted Iron (III) Hydroxide + Ammonium but thats wrong, the answer says "brown precipitate" but i dont know what actually happens, explain please!

Well the reaction would be:

3NH4OH + FeCl3 --> 3NH4Cl + Fe(OH)3

The Fe(OH)3 is a brown precipitate in an alkaline solution, as it would be. There is no Ammonium produced.
