Help with subatomic structure of the nucleus?! I'll give you as many points as you want!

Protons are up up down. Neutrons are down down up.The force that holds the nuclues together is the nuclear strong force. It is much stronger than gravity and has to overcome the electrostatic repulsion between protons. (Protons +ve charge like magnets want to repel) Think of it as velcro holding two magnets together that want to push.Beta emission is formed when an electron is ejected from the NUCLEUS (Not the shells) as a result of a neutron disintegrating or transforming into a proton.......
3. Describe the subatomic structure of the nucleus, including the structure of each nucleon. Draw a picture.
Describe the forces that hold the nucleus together and draw them on your diagram.
Explain how beta emission works.

Hey there, this is physics but I can help you anyway :)
I obviously can not draw a picture but I can still tell you,
In the nucleus there are protons and neutons ( You will draw them). Inside each proton and neutron there are up and down quarks depending on the order determines whether they are neutrons or protons. Protons are up up down. Neutrons are down down up. (You will draw them inside your protons and neutons)

The force that holds the nuclues together is the nuclear strong force. It is much stronger than gravity and has to overcome the electrostatic repulsion between protons. (Protons +ve charge like magnets want to repel) Think of it as velcro holding two magnets together that want to push. (You will draw this between two protons)

Beta emission is formed when an electron is ejected from the NUCLEUS (Not the shells) as a result of a neutron disintegrating or transforming into a proton. This is the nuclues' atempt to achieve a higher binding energy per nucleon. (Balance of neutrons and protons to make it stable). This as an example is Uranium-238 moving up into Neptunium-238. Note the masss number does not change as the number of protons and neutrons is conserved.

Hope I could help If you are still stuck feel free to message me :)
