What common household substance could farmers use to supply additional calcium ions to their tomato plants?

Chalk, if that could be considered a common household substance. Otherwise, most antacids such as Tums are made from calcium carbonate, they could use that as well. Oddly enough, chalk and Tums are basically the same thing (calcium carbonate.)
Other than that, I suppose they could add old chicken, beef or other bones or egg shells into the soil, they break down and release calcium, but it would be kind of unsanitary.
