In order to prepare a 0.0500 M NaOH solution, to what volume would you dilute 25.0 mL of 2.50 M NaOH? I like to know how to get the answer cause i don't get it.
-
New volume = (2.5/0.05) x 25 ml.
-
For all dilution problems use the dilution equation:
M1V1=M2V2
0.0500*V1 = 2.5*25
V1 = 62.5/0.0500
V1 = 1,250
Volume of final solution is 1,250mL.
M1V1=M2V2
0.0500*V1 = 2.5*25
V1 = 62.5/0.0500
V1 = 1,250
Volume of final solution is 1,250mL.
-
M1 V1 = M2 V2
2.5 x 25 = 0.05 V2
So V2 =1250 or 1.25 L is the final Vol.
2.5 x 25 = 0.05 V2
So V2 =1250 or 1.25 L is the final Vol.
