So I was playing video games in the dark when I heard a loud buzzing sounds and suddenly something flew against my face. In a panic reaction, I slapped it away.
I then turned on the light and searched for the critter. I found this thing. I don't know if this is the actual insect that flew against my face though, I just found this one sitting there on the ground behind my computer. It has wings though so it could be possible.
I never saw anything like it before in my house, so I'm wondering what it is. Do you recognize it?
Thanks in advance!

Well, it's definitely a true bug. It's not a box elder and looks a little narrow to be a stink bug (also both true bugs). Because of the shape of the back leg I'd say Leaf-footed bug (or squash bug). Knowing your general location would really help narrow it down.

It looks like a boxelder bug to me. They're harmless but can be very annoying.
