In a lab recently, I placed a slice of apple in a 1% sucrose solution, then a 5% sucrose solution, then a 10% sucrose solution.
The mass of the apple slice increased by an average of 3 grams for each apple slice. There wasn't any differentiation in results for 1% sucrose vs 5% or 10% sucrose solution.
I need to know if this is hyper/hypotonic for my conclusion.
thanks

In your experiment all of your solutions were hypotonic with respect to the apple.
Your experiment is bollixed somehow.
The 10% solution should be almost isotonic and should have gained very little weight, with the 5% gaining some and the 1% gaining the most.
