Not many people are aware of this but it is accually possible to have yourself cloned, but it is illegal. It could save so many people's lives, I mean a person who has bowel cancer could live their life if the had a clone to replace what they needed. It's crazy, if you go to YouTube and type Animal farm episode 1, you will see how truly amaizing it is

First, let's be clear about a common misconception about cloning, assuming it were possible with humans..which it is not. A clone is NOT the same person all over again. It would be like having an identical twin, but starting all over again from scratch. Clones are not made as adults. The individual would have to begin as a fertilized egg and go through all of the developmental process as any other human does, including all of the childhood environmental issues. In other words, a clone would not be YOU. It would be a human being with your genome, but with entirely different life experiences, memories and educational experiences. Even if we had the technology to do this, which we do NOT, it would be impossible to 'reincarnate' yourself with a clone. Once you die, your experiences, personality, education and all of the other things that made YOU are gone. The clone would look like you, but would be an entirely different person.
Stem cell research and the future concept of cloning individual organs for transplant is a different idea. We do not yet have the technology to clone organs, and stem cell research is still very controversial, but it does have the potential to alleviate a lot of suffering. However, these issues are a bit "Brave New World" right now, and we do not have the technology to do this, speaking from a purely scientific place. The ethical and moral issues behind all of this are even more complex. If you have never read "Brave New World", a classic novel, I highly recommend it. I think you'd find it interesting, given your interest in all of this.
