We have some stargazer lilies in the house, and I found my daughter tasting some of the nectar it produced. I immediately stopped her, but I know that lilies are poisonous for cats, so I was wondering whether the flower (or its nectar) is also poisonous to humans?

Although stargazer lilies are said to be poisonous to cats there has been no evidence that they can be harmful to humans. Despite research the toxin responsible for cat deaths has apparently not yet been isolated.
