i'm quite interested in lab and research stuff.
i'm in my last year of high school and i'm really enjoying genetics and i'm good at it too. i'm really interested in DNA and the whole gene expression thing and just everything in genetics.
what jobs can i get from genetics?

Going into the service is probably good advice for anyone that can live in a highly structured environment. Not everyone can. But they would pay for your education.
But if you're that interested in learning then you would probably earn a scholarship anyway. Either way, I would suggest exploring all the topics most closely related to genetics along the way, i.e. psychoneuroimmunology, organic chemistry, molecular biology, etc. Coming out of high school you don't have to pick a major yet. Don't limit your possibilities until you have to, explore. But I'm speaking from my own experience of jr. college and winning a merit based scholarship to ucla. And I'm not even smart, I'm just devoted. Maybe your state has different constraints on the education system. But that's my best advice, and I wish you all the luck in the world.

First of all, don't worry about it that much. Most people are surprised how much mobility there is once you get into a good college. About half the people I know have switched their major.
As for random ideas, I'm currently in a plant breeding program. There are good jobs available, and I have no worries about find a decent one. But I have done work in a cancer research lab, as well as one studying molecular evolution and fish physiology. Genetics is applied to every biological field these days. I have a friend who is about to enter a genetic counseling program.
