If the anode voltage is exactly equal to the cathode voltage, it is an indication of what kind of diode

regardless of kind.Any diode not subjected to an outside energy source will do exactly that. And, have no current flow through it.-shorted is right, a good diode will have a voltage drop of about .......
Shorted

-
It's a solid state diode. A vaccum tube diode will, when it's filament is energized, prioduce a "thermionic" voltage between the cathode and anode.

-
That could be ANY diode, regardless of "kind".

Any diode not subjected to an outside energy source will do exactly that. And, have no current flow through it.

-
shorted is right, a good diode will have a voltage drop of about .7 volts if its silicone or .3 volts if its germanium.
