If Nazi Germany won WW2, would have there been a moon landing...?
Would have there been an ISS orbiting the Earth? Would have there been a mars rover trekking the planet mars??

quantumclaustrophobe say: I think it would boil down to whether if money would be available.... if there were on-going threats to the regime (and... I bet there would've been), then likely *most* of their national budget would be going to policing the defeated countries, and very little going to rocket research (outside the military uses, that is...) If their thumb was sufficiently at the throats of the world... then, probably so - it would 'show the might of the fatherland.'

The A9/A10 rocket he was designing as the war ended would have easily placed unmanned satellites in orbit (ten years earlier than Sputnik 1), so a manned space station by 1962 was likely, and a lunar landing by 1965. Unless Germany and Japan got into a world war over the spoils of WW2

This would have caused difficulties for computing orbital mechanics so the ISS might not have stayed in orbit successfully.

As for exploration of other planets, Mars would not have been a priority for the Nazis. Instead they would be seeking to support Deutsche Physik by finding the planet Vulcan.

The orbit of the planet Mercury cannot be explained by Newtonian physics. In the 19th century the French scientist Urbain Le Verrier proposed that the orbit of Mercury would work out if there was another small planet between the Sun and Mercury. In 1859 Edmond Lescarbault claimed to have seen this planet transiting the Sun and called it Vulcan. But other astronomers couldn't find it again. Albert Einstein's General Theory of Relativity explained the orbit of Mercury without an inner planet.

So Nazi scientists would have been attempting to find Vulcan in order to rebut Einstein's theory.

Steve H say: It depends if the focus after winning the war was to then begin hostilities with Japan.
Both believed themselves to be the superior race /ethnicity, so peacetime could easily have been short lived.

To make the moon landings possible, a cessation of war would have been essential or else the focus would have been on annihilating each other.

Once that sort of bedlam began, then it would give rise to opportunity for defeated peoples all over the world, to rise up against their oppressors.

We can speculate on the possibilities though, just for fun.

If Germany had one WW2 there would have been only one country on Earth, called Germany.
So the space station would have been called Deutschland Space Station. and everyone would be speaking German.

but if there were an inhabited satellite, it would not be called ISS.
