spot a say: NASA seems to have made a mistake with this information. The author and editor at NASA were not born in 1969. It is not an "if" The Apollo crafts, 9 of them including Apollos 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 went rapidly through a low radiation part of the belt. The capsules had radiation protection for the crew. The dose received by the astronauts was less than what you get from a CT scan of Abdomen and Pelvis. You can look up the radiation data on this at the NASA site
I have sent a message to NASA asking for an explanation and possible amendment of this NASA web page

Choose a bloody best answer. It's not hard. say: NASA has never said any such thing, and that article says no such thing. You can tell the difference between an electron and a spacecraft, can't you?
Here it is again for the dummies.

Robert say: Because the Apollo 11 "spacecraft" just circled the earth for three days until the astronauts were ready to splashdown.
