Joshua say: Well, considering we haven't sent any manned spacecraft anywhere beyond the moon, it's impossible to prove or disprove. NASA is saying we'll find signs of life within the next ten years and definitive proof within 20 years. I agree that we may find signs of it, but everyone alive today will be long dead before it's proven. If life doesn't exist anywhere else in the solar system, you can forget about it! There's too much space between us and the nearest star system. Proxima Centauri is about 25,000,000,000,000 miles away! Since traveling at light speed isn't possible for anything with mass, it would take several generations to get there.
If I had to bet my life savings on whether or not there's life elsewhere, I'd bet there is. There's somewhere between 100,000,000,000 and 400,000,000,000 stars in our galaxy alone. On average, there's one planet per star. There could easily be 1,000,000,000 planets with intelligent life in our galaxy. They'd be quadrillion of miles away though.

Zak say: That's impossible. There are so many stars and planets in this wonderful universe that we'll probably never know for sure.

poornakumar b say: Prove that they exist. The onus is on you, not me (don't ask "me" to prove what "you" stated).

Nyx say: Because I alone, though my strength of will, have banished them from our universe.

Poseidon say: No one can prove or disprove the existence of alien life (at the moment)
However I believe that when we consider the billions of stars in the galaxy and the trillions of planets orbiting those suns it is a mathematical certainly that the universe is teeming with life from those who are just crawling out of the Primordial Soup to those far, far superior in intelligence and technology than we humans.
