Radiation assessment dose detector is used to find the wavelength of the radiation? The radiation of mars planet is same like our earth or differing?(Particularly the visible light colors wavelength)

The radiation dose detector detects cosmic radiation, alpha and beta particles, high energetic ions etc. not visible light. The concerns was that the lack of a magnetic field and a thin atmosphere offered little shielding against radiation but it would appear there is some shielding.

This impacts how much shielding is required with a habitat on Mars, without natural shielding, it would take 4.5 meters of packed soil to duplicate the shielding of Earth's atmosphere. But now it looks like minimal shielding as in plastic shields may be sufficient. I'd still pile dirt over the habitats.
