I just bought this telescope and finished setting it up; I am a complete beginner with absolutely no knowledge in regards to astronomy or how to use a telescope. After watching several videos online, I am sure that I have set everything up correctly, yet I still only see white... I am not sure what might be causing this, I have taken it outsider both during the day and at night, obviously when I took it out at night I saw only black, during the day white, any suggestions would be appreciated so please comment below if you think you know what's going on here, Thank You! Happy Holidays

A very common mistake many beginners make with small reflectors like this is to remove only the inner part of the lens cap, instead of the whole thing. The first picture below shows the problem. With the lens cap fully removed, there should be a full 5-inch diameter opening at the upper end of the tube.

[Edit] If both parts of the cap are removed, another possibility is that you are way out of focus. Focus is critically fine on a telescope: there will only be one tiny sharp area in the whole range of the focuser.

The second picture below shows how the front of the scope should look with the cap removed.

Practise focusing in daylight on something at least 1/4 mile away like a chimney or pole. Start with the lowest magnification (largest number on eyepiece). The field of view of any telescope is extremely small. Use the 20mm eyepiece for 50x magnification.
