Mankind will destroy the earth and our way of life. A nuclear Holocaust. Or perhaps an asteroid hitting the earth. Wyoming has a super volcano that was due to erupt 40 years ago. It will take out most of the US. OMG I live in Wyoming. I always thought if it erupted I live far enough away to run to a different state. Watched a show on it and learned there will not be anyway to run.

The sun will explode because some megalomaniac shoots a hyper-plasmatic-photon bomb into the sun. It will trigger a chain reaction, and it will cause the sun to supernova.
Relax, we have a few years before hyper-plasma is even discovered.

I don't have one. The first thing you need to do is amass some solid evidence that an apocalypse will occur - then you can start searching for the reason.

I figure our downfall will be panicky, scientifically illiterate idiots, anti-intellectualism and the marginalization of critical thinking. This will be more of a slow decline than anything so abrupt as a "doomsday".
