❥ Your strongest assumption for the cause of the Apocalypse

And so, I googled to see what other peoples opinions were; only to find that those two assumptions were the most popular among others.I dont really believe that such an event will occur; but if it did what do you think are going to be the most likely cause of such a tragedy?-I think the most believable answer would be a solar flare. Were due one any time now, and if one very big hit us,......
Well, I haven't really been reading much about it, or the causes.
But, when it's been mentioned the two most strongest assumptions I had that would result in the cause of the apocalypse would be Hadron Collider creating a blackhole, or giant tidal waves engulfing the planet.

I think the most believable answer would be a solar flare. We're due one any time now, and if one very big hit us, we'd be in trouble. Satellites would go down, leaving us unable to communicate, and the power grid would become useless. There's a big fuss about it, but this issue can be simply absolved by switching the power grid and the satellites off.

Another theory going round would be a polar reversal. Polar reversal is when the poles 'switch places'. There's evidence that this has happened in the past. People seem to think it will happen suddenly. But in reality it happens very slowly. However, during a reversal, the atmosphere would weaken, leaving us in the way of dangerous cosmic energy. I think also that random north and south poles would pop-up whilst the magnetic field tries to correct itself.

Um... solar flares happen all the time. Worst case scenario, a CME hits us in the face and knocks out power for most of a hemisphere for a few weeks.

Pole reversal the atmosphere does not weaken and no extinction event has ever been linked to the many many pole reversals in the past.

Dumb.
