Okay so why is anti- matter a negative but it's a positive, so how is matter a positive but yet they are both positives. I know energy is a postive and they're both energy, so how does that balance things if there needs to be a negative and positive.

An antimatter particle has the opposite electrical charge of the particle, unless that particle has no electrical charge, such as a electron neutrino and its antiparticle (which are neither electrically charged)
A photon is its own antiparticle.
The term "antimatter" is used in two ways:
1) In science fiction it is used to describe a source of energy which when combined with normal matter releases a tremendous amount of energy. This use assumes we can make and store ounces, pounds or tons of the stuff. We can't make even gram amounts nor keep what we do make around for more than seconds.
2) In particle science antimatter is a term used to describe a group of antiparticles. Like all subatomic particles, the ha
