Does anyone know a good resource or link to find out the moons position and trajectory relative to where you live? I need to know where the moon will be approximately in the sky at 10pm tonight 8/31/2012.... but in general I would like to know where the moon is on any particular day.
Your help is appreciated. And godspeed Neil Armstrong.
REASON: I live in Southern California and I want to take my girlfriend up to see the blue-moon event tonight at 10pm (8-31-2012) and I have the option between two cliffs, one with an eastward view and the other a westward view.................

The moon will rise from the East at about sunset. It'll be at max elevation about midnight, and it'll set at about sunrise.
It's just another full moon.... like any other - only, the *last* full moon was in the same month as *this* one - the term given to that is "Blue moon."

The Moon will rise in the east at sunset just like every other full Moon. A 'blue Moon' simply means that it is the second full Moon in the calender month. It will look the same as every other full Moon you have seen. It does not actually turn blue.
