atheism is just one more creation myth, where the sheet is blank but the word god has been deliberately removed from the allowed dictionary.-I grew up in church, and study science(alot). This 1 has always given me headaches........
The "Big Bang theory", or rather, the hypothesis of the primordial "atom" (really singularity), is just the result that you get when you extrapolate the evidence of galactic recessions from Earth and the cosmic microwave background. It is just a look-back in time, from what we see the present state of the universe is, and a calculation of what it might've been. It says absolutely nothing about what caused it to become that.

No true cosmologist will make any claims about creation/origin.
The big bang is merely a hypothesis - one that describes the observation that space is expanding (which is also under some scrutiny and has some critics)

I grew up in church, and study science(alot). This 1 has always given me headaches...What i believe though is that God created the big-bang and every now and then alter what happens...like making water filled comets hitting the Earth and allowing us to live in the Goldilock zone(zone perfect for life on earth). In the bible the earth is like 10,000 yrs old (not sure of exact date), but radiocarbon dating shows that things were alive before that. So i came to the conclusion that the people who wrote the bible wrote it based on their current knowledge (they couldn't have had the technology to know about dinosaurs). But, the big bang came from a singularity, or in other theories... a ball of all the forces...but whatever! God made the universe!

The more we learn, the more questions there are. But at least there are Humans who are searching for truth. I don't like the belief of a god, or gods because with the believers, whenever a question about anything is asked, there is only one answer; god created everything. All questioning and curiosity ends there. And that simply is not good enough in this day and age.
