How was the universe created (discuss)

i want opinions and facts on how you think the universe started...

There were two main (scientific) theories on the the beginning of the universe - the Big Bang theory which is now accepted as the most likely one, and the Steady State theory. The Steady State theory said that the universe has always been 'out there' and the expansion of the universe is balanced by the spontaneous creation of matter at such a rate that it always looks roughly the same at all periods in its history (if you can call an infinite timespan a history). The originators of the Steady State theory tinkered with it a bit to make it fit the observations, but it eventually died out as a serious contender in the 50's I think.... There are some out there who will try to convince you that thew universe was created electrically, but my personal favourite is that it was the result of a sneeze of the Great God Arkleseizure (may He not find His Handkerchief.....)

And once we're done with that we can go and collect the Nobel prize in physics. Science does not have an explanation yet for how our universe got here, and the people who are looking into this question are probably the most brilliant men and women on the planet. This is not the kind of question that you can discuss at the dinner table if you want to be serious about it. There are probably only a few thousand people in the world who could have a meaningful discussion about this topic. For the rest of us it's just the blind leading the blind.

I believe it was the Big Bang since it is the most accepted theory , although it doesn't really answer a lot of question like , what was there before the Big Bang ?
And it's something that we probably will never know , i'm concerned we shouldn't be really worried about it , since we will probably be dead by the time they finally find an explanation if they ever do ...
