Could our solar system just be an atom to something else

The structure of the atom(as we currently know it)does not permit this.-Its not a new theory. However, we are not part of the atomic structure, but we are a part of a larger structure, the Galaxy,......

Let me think here - New Universal Theory - noted in scientific shorthand as NUT?

As stated, atoms have protons and neutrons at their centers and electrons in orbits or shells. It's late and I can think of only one atom with one electron in it's shell - H. Your idea would require 8 electrons to be alone in their own shells. The structure of the atom (as we currently know it) does not permit this.

Its not a new theory. However, we are not part of the atomic structure, but we are a part of a larger structure, the Galaxy, which is part of even a larger structure, the Local Group. Then the Local Group is just a part of an even larger structure, the web we call the super cluster, then the Universe.

No, protons and neutrons are in the nucleus. The planets would be electrons. Some models of the atom have been compared to the solar system. Planets have a continuous motion, but electrons jump from orbital to orbital. You are not on to anything. It is a bad idea.

Atoms are nothing like tiny solar systems.

-
It's obvious that everything is part of something else.

Anything is possible if you believe hard enough;P

-
Wouldn't you rather know where babies come from?

At least that knowledge has some practical value.

Cheers!

-
Yup, to the universe.

Yes

i think it could be that were just a atom of the grand skale
