Has there been Any research done to See if Time Travel is Possible

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-23] [Hit: ]
Old news.-It has been proven that time travel forwards is in fact possible to the time relapse which happens when one increases their velocity relative to other objects. For example, astronauts have brought up precise clocks to the international space station and left them there for a period of time. When the clocks were returned, they claimed that less time had passed as opposed to those on earth due to the immense velocity at which the station orbits the planet.......
or if anybody is even close to creating a time machine ?

Most physicists agree time travel(to the past) is likely something impossible to be achieved. There are some theories that utilize worm holes that could theoretically allow time travel, but the energies to make these wormholes are enormous(more than all electricity we can currently produce on all of earth currently) and require things physicists like to call "exotic material." An exotic material is basically physicists' name for something considered to be mythical now.

In regards to if anyone is close to building one? No.

EDIT: NiteTray, the finding of faster than light neutrinos has already been refuted. The experimenters failed to account for relativistic dilation in the satellites they used to measure the distance and the correction puts them back under the speed of light. Old news.

I would answer, but then would just have to delete it when the ASTRONOMY QUEEN posts the undeniably correct answer.

But seriously folks, a research group has conducted an experiment that revealed a kind of time travel. They claim that a subatomic particle exceeded the speed of light. In other words it arrived at a target BEFORE it left its source.

No, there has been no real research done at all. People have theorized as to the possiblities, but actual research, no. The leading theory is that it is completely impossible. So no, nobody is close to creating a time machine.

Here are a few links with serious efforts in attempting to test the laws of nature to such ends.

Maria, if and only if time travel has already happened ( future people gone back in time ) we wouldn't notice it b.c we're on a unique time-line... ( say they changed the past ), it'll be a new reality if you will, we're locked in this one.

There as been much research, but due to the current laws of physics, it's impossible.

-
No. You're the first to think of it.
