Why has man not been to the moon a second time

For very approximately the same reason that we are no longer going to have shuttle missions (after the next one) - - there isn't a political will to spend on these missions, there is a public perception that it is expensive, and politicians typically cannot ''sell'' the benefits of scientific missions to the point of their constiuents accepting the expenditures (the expenses) needed.

So.. when you start hearing (about 10 years from now) kids half your age asking if we ever really sent shuttles into space - because there is a looney-tune website claiming that the entire American space program was faked... what are *you* going to tell them?

Because they went six times.

Yeah. A lot of things seem odd about the moon landings if you're scientifically illiterate, ignore the logistics of actually pulling off the hoax, and ignore myriad third party verifications.

You should study your history and stop believing nonsense. There were six moon landings by NASA in 1969-72, and numerous unmanned landings by Russia in that same time period.

We landed 12 men on the Moon in six Moon landings between 1969 and 1972. I suggest looking it up next time instead of just assuming the conspiracy nuts have the basic facts correct.
