4. As Roger Penrose has always claimed to be an atheist it seems unlikely that he would ever make a statement endorsing the existence of a "creator".

Being a reknowned mathematician and physicist does not qualify a person to make authoratitive statements about biological processes such as evolution - as Fred Hoyle demonstrated when he made a complete fool of himself by his laughable comparison of evolution to a hurrican in a scrapyard. In fact, a large number of scientists disagree with quite a few of Penrose's ideas. Being a colleague of Stephen Hawking is irrelevant - it's not like Stephen Hawking has endorsed this person's ability to understand evolution or anything else; for all you know Roger Penrose may stir Hawking's tea for him.
What you're saying is that evolution is like flipping a billion coins and them all turn up heads. In reality, evolution flips the coins over and over again and every time another one turns up heads it keeps it at heads. Over a period of time, you get a billion coins all showing heads. I suggest that you calculate the probability of that and then get back to us.
