You are not well informed. When you consider just the mathematics, the likelihood of life somewhere out there is almost certain. There are so many galaxies, with so many stars. It is amazing. And they may be so far away that contact is impossible. And also they might not be intelligent anyway. We may never know. The distances and times for travel are currently so far beyond our technology, and seemingly insurmountable according to practical physics.
I don't see any connection between belief in God and in extraterrestrial life.

Not any more farfetched than believing that there isn't life on other planets.
Absence of evidence doesn't necessarily mean evidence of absence.
"Is believing in God easier for people who also believe in aliens?"
Not necessarily.
"Belief in God" is nothing more than acceptance of ignorance and naming it something else.

No. We know the range of conditions that supports life on earth is very wide. You don't think life just exists in your neighborhood do you?
So we know the range of conditions is at least that wide. And there's no reason to believe it isn't even wider. For instance, something odd is going on on the surface of Triton, where there's no liquid water, but methane is a liquid.

What we "know to be necessary" keeps being expanded as we keep finding life in places we thought it was impossible, even on earth. We don't have any idea any more what's necessary.

We know what is necessary for life as we know it on Earth. Assuming that our world is the only life-bearing planet is illogical.
Why is assuming a different form of life far-fetched? There is no law that says life has to be based on carbon, using oxygen and liquid water.
Life on Earth is like it is because this is where life on Earth evolved.
